Most hosts book us for the same reason. They do not want a quiet room, bored guests, or an open mic that turns into chaos. You choose your song requests months ahead. We rehearse them and arrange them in an order that builds the mood. On the night, we bring the crowd in with us. Seven years on stage with Abigail Music Band, in duo or trio formats, across Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and outstation.
At one company dinner, the staff stood up and danced, and the room ended with a round of applause. Guests leave telling us "awesome performance" and "loving the vibe".

A workshop on how your body and nervous system shape your performance, and how to cope. It was first run with music students, who left understanding why they get nervous in class and on stage, and how to handle it.
It also looks at music as part of who you are, not only a hobby.

Do you teach one-to-one pop vocal and keyboard classes?
Yes. Derrick teaches one-to-one pop vocal and pop sing-and-play keyboard classes in person at Fasteam Training Stage, for students from young adults to seniors.
Can complete beginners join?
Yes. Most students start as beginners who want to sing well, or at least sound decent. Sing-and-play students start with no keyboard experience.
What will I be able to do after a few months?
Most students reach steady breath support, a clearer tone and songs sung without throat strain. Many also grow confident enough to start performing.
Is there a trial lesson?

What is vocal pedagogy, and why does it matter for singing safely?
Vocal pedagogy is the study and teaching of how the voice works. Derrick's classes are grounded in it, with a focus on vocal health, so students build technique that protects their voice.
What is somatic mind-and-body work in a vocal lesson?
It connects how you feel in your body with how your voice works. Alongside vocal pedagogy, it helps students use their inner and outer voice more freely, from class to stage.
Can I book a live band for a wedding or company dinner?
